Would any Le Moss Babies owners be interested in meeting up with our neddies?  Fancy having a ride on one of the others, just to see if they are like yours, swap stories and pick up tips for dealing with the offspring of one of the most determind horses in racing?!

If interested, please email me with your location and prefered day of travel.

Unamed - LeMoss ex. Yankee Flyer(Henbit)

This is Milly, who I have owned since the 4th of September 2001.   She is   well bred by Le Moss and Henbit, a   Derby winner,   but dispite this excellant breeding never made it to a race course.   Even though she was too slow, she was extememly keen so instead was used by her breeder/trainer to lead youngsters over hurdles for nearly 3 years.   This made learning to showjump interesting and cross country jumping a little hair raising!!   Currently due to my injury, we have been concentraing on dressage with some success.     2005 we came 2nd in a local dressage league and   2006 we   came 6th in our first prelim.   Jumping again and she certainly hasn't forgottern.  Started Novice dressage and qualified for 2nd round trailblazers.

Desert Moss - LeMoss ex.Super Gambler(Lighter)

Des raced once as a youngster over hurdles   and was so uninterested was pulled up before the finish.   He went through the sales to a retraining centre, via his first domestic owner to Sally.   Luckerly he is more interested in dressage than he was in racing.   Sally and Des live on the essex coast and enjoy playing on the beach, jumping sunbathers and swimming to europe!   Des is learning about jumping after time off   due to injury but once he is   ready will hopefully give his half sister Milly, some competition!     In 2006 the Sally and Des have been showing, and qualified for the Thoroughbred Show Horse finals at Hickstead, no ribbons but well done for getting that far!

Mosstowie - LeMoss ex.Rowan Ville(Sexton Blake)

Mo was foaled in 1996 and was broken late she was race twice in 2002 at Wetherby and Towcester.  Although she was happy to run with the herd, she had no racing instincts and was not raced again.  Sherryl bought her directly from the breeder July 2005.  Mo seems to be showing quite an aptitude for dressage.   Jumping is not something Mo has done much of and Sherryl isn't keen, but she shows some scope and ability.  Mo definatly has the LeMoss big personallity and is quite happy with whatever life brings!

Timmoss - LeMoss ex.Tangaroa (Lord Gayle)

Slim was bred in Ireland and raced once at Market Rasen on import to England in 1996 which he didn't enjoy as he came second to last.  He is fairly stubborn, according to his owner Alison, a typical LeMoss person!  However, with so many of these LeMoss horses, all they really need is something a bit more interesting to do.  Slim had evented before Alison bought him and his dressage is up to Elementary standard, they compete regularly in dressage most weekends.  Dispite knowing his own mind he does not have a nasty bone in his body and has never tried to throw his rider for any reason.  A forgiving horse with ability is something your don't find everyday this seems to be something LeMoss babies have.  Slim and Alison currently live in East Yorkshire at a yard run by a retrainer, who after 25 years experience is constantly impressed by Slim's personality!

Equally Better - LeMoss ex. Merette (Runnymeade)

Busby was born in 1982 as part of Le Moss' first crop.  He ran over hurdles in Ireland in 1988 before coming over to race in England, his career ending with being pulled up in December 1990.  Busby was the yard pet and was sold out of racing to Heather who had him for seven years before he went to a riding school. This is where Pam met him and struck up a great partnership, they even won the yard one day event together!  But as Busby's old injury started to cause trouble and he damaged his suspensory ligament, it looked like the end of the road.  Pam decided to take him on in 2003 on the proviso from her husband that the horse did not take over her life.  After some time off to recover, Busby is now a happy hacker with the odd local show and dressage competition to keep them both entertained.  A happy cheerful horse who is morbidly afraid of the dental technician so has to be sedated.  Only he can smell a vet from 100yrds, not soon enough to dig the escape tunnel from his stable so makes do with hiding in the dark at the back.  Pam says she spoils him rotten but he has been a dream come true!

Cnoc an Uisce - Le Moss ex Taco(High Season)

Pixie as he is known at home is 13 now and raced  4 times point to point when he came to Lisa.  They  have been doing riding club eventing, show jumping and dressage where they have won and been placed on many ocassions. Pixie is always eager to please giving you everything once you have earned his trust. He is a real ladies man be it human or equine and is happiest turned out with a mare for company. He is a looker and knows it, he often shows off his extended trot to anyone who might look over his gate, he loves an audiance.

Young Claude - Le Moss ex.Deirdres Dream (The Parson)

Claude point to pointed 15 times and won over £2,000.  He has now arrived with Gillian and even after only 4 months she is smitten!  So far they have discovered his talent for showjumping and been showing, placed 2nd in the Ex-racehorse showing class at his first show, hopefully many more to come and hopefully more pictures here too!
